We bring to you this easy and no-fuss Vegetable Pulao recipe with minimum ingredients

INGREDIENTS (Serves 4)

  • Soaked Rice- 2 Cups

  • Chopped Onions - 2 medium

  • Chopped Carrots- 1

  • Green Peas - 1/4 Cup

  • Diced Potato - 1

  • Ginger-garlic paste - 1 TSP

  • Coriander Powder - 1/2 TSP

  • Cumin Powder - 1/2 TSP

  • Green Chillis - 2-3

  • Ghee - 1 TBSP

This recipe comes handy when you are hungry, and want to make a quick and easy one-pot meal, without compromising on the taste.

  1. To a cooking pan, add some Ghee

  2. Fry the green chillies and Onions till slightly soft in the Ghee

  3. Add the chopped vegetables and saute for 2 to 3 minutes. I have used Carrots, Potatoes and Peas. But you can also add other vegetables like Cauliflower and French Beans etc.

2. Add the spices- Coriander powder, Cumin Powder, Ginger-garlic paste and Turmeric

4. Add the soaked Rice and saute for 5 minutes

5. Add 2 cups of water

6. Add salt and sugar to taste and cook for 15 minutes with the lid closed.

Garnish with Coriander and Voila! The rice is ready to serve.
