Preparing the Vanilla Batter
Keep aside the ingredients
In a mixing bowl, add Cooking Oil. Then add-in the Icing Sugar and mix until dissolved.
3. Break the eggs and add to the mixture. Whisk until the eggs are mixed well
4. Add the Maida/ All purpose flour, and fold into the mixture to form a soft and consistent batter mix. Add the rising agent / Baking Soda and fold into the batter.
5. Measure and add the Vanilla essence. Mix it well in the batter
Preparing the Chocolate Batter for Zebra Cake
To some amount of Milk, add the Cocoa Powder, and mix well until no lumps are left. Strain the mixture to remove leftover lumps, if-any.
2. Take half of the earlier prepared batter, and gently fold the Cocoa mixture into the batter
The Final Steps: Baking the Zebra Cake
1. Now line the baking pan with oil/butter and add a parchment paper to the bottom
2. Start pouring the Vanilla and Chocolate batters alternately to form concentric layers
3. Take a toothpick, and form a starlike pattern (Refer 0.55s in the IG video Zebra Cake Pattern)
4. Bake for 60 Minutes in a pre-heated Microwave Oven at 180 F. If the oven is not an option, bake in a pre-heated and closed Stove Pot on a low flame for 40 minutes. Insert a toothpick to check whether the batter is cooked.
Once it cools down, separate the cake from the pot, cut and Relish!
